Yep, I am. I hate clutter, hate it, hate it, hate it! BUT, go in your kitchen, open up your drawers, how many are junk drawers, drawers that are just hold everything, papers that you mean to throw away but haven’t, yeah, I had 2 of those, the sad thing is, I only have 5 drawers in my kitchen counter tops!

So, when Melissa posted these I couldn’t wait to start! Only on my junk drawers though, my cooking utensils that aren’t in a pitcher on the counter are in a drawer (as neat as they can get anyway, am I the only one with like 100 cooking utensils?!) and my regular silverware is in another.

So I followed her directions HERE except, the foam board I used has spaces in-between the foam so it cuts WAY easier and you get a cleaner cut. Here’s one of mine:

Yes, those are the cheap 99 cent batteries, my kids go through batteries like candy so I told them to buy their own for their cameras, they were cheap and bought the 99 cent ones LOL.

Isn’t it awesome?! and the best part! I can’t stuff any papers in there, so it shall be forever organized :) unless I rip it out, which I like it so much I know I wont.

I haven’t finished the other one, I ran out of my type of foam board and can’t find anymore (UGH) so I cut some of the regular Elmer's foam board and am trying to get it to go in there without looking “hacked”. I can’t cut that stuff as good as she did!

Now to go do the other drawer, that one is for bibs, hand towels, kitchen cloths, etc.

So go check out all her awesome crafty stuff, I wish I had her talent!

Feeling Lucky

Sooo, while carrying in groceries I noticed the whole front of my house is covered in ladybugs. I absolutely LOVE ladybugs! My Katie is just obsessed with them as I am.

Naturally, I dropped the groceries, grabbed my camera, and had to snap some pics!

Kinda creepy huh? There is about 50 of them out there, and now I’m finding em in my house! Ugh, I love ladybugs but I’m actually getting the heebie jeebies from them lol.

Maybe I should go buy some powerball tickets and test out my luck ?

Hi! :) I’ve been MIA. But all is good now and I’m back, I do that a lot, terrible habit, but I hate to waist your time and have you read something that's really not all that interesting.

The Mr.'s Grandfather died last week, so we were very busy with that, he was taking it pretty hard as he went to their house every weekend as a child and one of his daughters does the same thing now, so it was pretty hard on both of them, watching his grandmother go through that was so hard! She is the sweetest woman ever. He died in his sleep due to heart problems. He is in a better place now though and is no longer in pain.

On to happier things. It’s Fall! Its actually feeling more like Winter, i see out in blogland some folks have had some snow, please keep it, we don't want any of it here! I love the Snow but I’m so not ready for it yet! Plus, I haven’t even dug out my Halloween / Fallish things yet!

Here are some I’ve picked up recently I thought I’d share. (after I did this I realized I needed to dust, just try not to look to hard :))

14lbs 3oz. Gained almost 7lbs since birth

Your my Mr little piggy, you eat 8oz bottles and eat baby rice three times a day, Dr’s gave their permission

You FINALLY sleep through the night!

Your doing loads of “talking” and even some complaining, sure sounds that way!

You are such a happy baby, your almost always smiling and laughing

You can now hold your head up completely on your own!

You try to pull yourself up when your laying down but your still way too little and end up dropping back down.

Fall Colors

Nope, I’m not going to post pictures of Fall decor, I haven’t even brought any of that out, other then in my Anthropology jars, yeah, I’m a slacker.

I’m going to post pictures of the trees in my yard instead. Before you say it, yes, our yard is HUGE. We are right smack in the center on 22 acres of land. Awesome huh? :O)

Ultimate Yard Sale

What an awesome weekend! Finally we were able to have the Ultimate yard sale here. They tried a while back but the traffic was so awful the state police shut it down. That had to move it to a private road and finally were able to do it this weekend!

We didn’t get much from the ultimate yard sale, in my opinion it wasn’t worth buying, was over priced, or was marked sold :( But I did get a few goods….

Not pictured… Kenzie got some American Eagle ugg looking boots, 8 pairs of Aeropostale Jeans, 4 Aeropostale Sweaters 10 Aeropostale short sleeve & long sleeve shirts, it was an Aeropostale Day! She made out with a whole new wardrobe, She was so excited she could wait to get any of the clothes we got her in the washer and the boots on her feet! We paid $1.00 each for the jeans (hey, their Aeropostale…. and 50 cents for the hoodies, 25 cents for the shirts, they are all in mint condition. The boots, $4.00 and also in mint condition.

Breanna who also couldn’t wait for the clothes, she got 4 pairs of jeans, brands vary, two Aeropostale Hoodies, about 10 different shirts, and 4 pairs of shoes/boots.

A Lamp, don't know for who’s room, they all just got new lamps but I couldn’t let her sit there all lonely! 12 DVD movies, all play, mostly all of them are for the kids, a few for us, $1.50 each for those. Cameron got a baby Bumbo, I paid $10.00 for it, but its so worth the $10.00, they retail for $40.00, this one looked brand new, doesn’t show any signs of use! He also got A frog soft play gym and the biggie… Katie got 8 pairs, 8 pairs of shoes, now usually am not so good about buying shoes at yard sales but… they either look new or are new! See pics! The brands are great too!

A shelf for the bathroom for over the toilet, which turned out to be too big, so it’ll probably go back or be used elsewhere it was $19.99, over the price but I want one of those over the toilet, DVD Player, not sure why, we don't need one, backup for the kids I suppose, it was only $2.99. two pictures for Breanna’s room, $1.99 each, another shelf, maybe this one will work over toilet? Its super cute as it is, light pink, aged looking, I took this picture as he was taking it apart, he’s painting it white for me :) After pics will be coming.

And then….
I’ve been searching months for one of these… the Mr.'s mom has this green one, she puts a few of her kitchen utensils in it, wooden spatulas & spoons, her wisk, etc (she’s a Martha Stuart junkie!) I’ve wanted to copy her idea for so long. She bought hers at the Christmas tree shop last year, I’ve searched goodwill's, Christmas tree shop, yard sales, home goods, target and Wal-Mart, you name it I’ve been there looking. Finally this weekend, she told the Mr to take it, utensils and all. Much to my surprise we got in the van, he asked me to get him a baby wipe out of the diaper bag, I opened it up and there she was! (HE didn’t take the utensils lol)

Ahhh.. its soooo pretty!

That same night…. I found one at goodwill.. $5.00.. White… I wanted black or white, all my mini appliances are black. But, I’ll take anything I can get (as long as its not like yellow.)

My find is a little bigger then hers, so I have to buy bigger wooden spoons & wisks, etc, but you get the idea. I threw just a few in there to show you what I meant.

I still have her green one too… lol. But awesome person I am, I’m returning it to her my next visit!

It always happens to me, I search and search for something, finally I find one, and then I find dozens of the same thing everywhere! Just the like dvd players, we were looking at yard sales and goodwill's, etc, in the last month I have bought 3 new dvd players to use, and 3 that are just incase dvd players :)

So, what did you find? I’m so sad yard sale season is just about over.

I Hate Chicken!

I do, I think it is gross, I’ve never really cared for it, well unless its a yummy ever so greasy chicken sandwich from McDonalds, or Dairy queens ever so yummy chicken salad… But any other chicken, GROSS, I do make it for my kids though because they are CRAZY about it.

Except… Last night I tried this recipe, and a rule per my two girls, I have to try every new recipe I try (which I’ve done nightly for 2 weeks straight) I actually liked it, I ate half a piece and gave Katie the other half, they were Hoovers over it and had two pieces.

So, for my Tasty Tuesday (I know, late like everything else) here’s the recipe.

Crisp & Creamy Baked Chicken:

YOU WILL NEED:
4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 lb.)
6 Tbsp. (1/2 of 1 pouch) SHAKE 'N BAKE Extra Crispy Seasoned
Coating Mix
2 cups instant white rice, uncooked
2/3 cup (1/2 of 10-3/4-oz. can) condensed cream of celery soup
1/4 cup milk
1 cup Shredded Cheddar & Monterey Jack Cheese

I also added Salt, Pepper, and some natures seasoning added to it too (garlic, onion, celery salts all in one bottle + a few more)

PREHEAT oven to 400°F. Coat chicken with coating mix as directed on package; place in greased 13x9-inch baking dish. Discard any remaining coating mix.

BAKE 20 min. or until chicken is cooked through (170°F). Meanwhile, cook rice as directed on package.

BEAT soup and milk with wire whisk until well blended. Pour evenly over chicken; sprinkle with cheese. Bake an additional 5 min. or until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly. Serve with the rice.

I served mine with rice & green beans as you can see.

Dont mind my crappy pictures, the MR teases me for taking pictures of food so I was rushing! :)

He does towing/repossessing, if people don't pick up their stuff within 30 days (or a by the time they get the title) it becomes the owners, the owners let the drivers have whatever they want, it doesn’t matter if its a car, stuff in the car, ANYTHING, he helps his bosses all the time doing things even if its just painting their porch, so he always gets first pick with stuff this was one of them, they gave him this… FREEEEEE! (oops!)

Pretty Great Weekend!

I vanished there, I’m good at that. My little guy ended up needing surgery just like my Breanna, he had Pyloric Stenosis, was projectile vomiting and not holding down his bottle. The Dr’s were constantly telling me that it was just reflux, I’m glad I pushed I kept insisting he had it finally they listened and as it turns out, I was right… I LOVE being right, but I’m glad my little guy is doing great now and eating like a champ!

The girls’ started school last Tuesday, they love it! I asked Katie (6 year old, 2nd grade) how it went on the first day and her reply was “My Teacher Has Braces” but as it turns out she did have a good day too! Breanna (9 year old, 3rd grade) just says she’s shy and doesn’t really like being there because she now has to make more new friends, she’s very shy so every year is like this, but she’ll fit in, she always does.

First Day Pics:

So had a pretty great weekend, we’ve been buying tons at yard sales so between that and my “nesting” phase I went through being pregnant our room off our laundry room has turned into a massive storage closet, we went through it and had a yard sale. The kids were able to sell items in it too, we ended up doing pretty good, each child made some money, Breanna and Kaitlyn also had a lemonade stand so they made even extra with that. After the yard sale we loaded up the van and donated whatever was left then we got to go check out a few sales that were still running. We ended up with quite a bit of stuff and spending almost all of our earned money from our yard sale :O) what we didn’t spend we spent it on Sunday going after some more yard sales.

I got the girls 5 sweat shirts, a few shirts each, some jeans, a pair of Hush Puppies shoes for Kaitlyn, all sweat shirts are gap, jeans are SO (Kohl's), shirts are from Mini Boden or Gymboree, they were all 25 cents - $1.00 each so huge score on the clothes!

I got some huge candle sticks for my bedroom, one will be cut down so its a little shorter then they other, I heart my candle sticks! Also got a mirror from the same guy I got the popcorn picture and little pogo stick picture from, it was brand new with plastic and tags on it from the Christmas tree shop for $17.99 I paid $3.00

Don’t mind the mess in the reflection was a pretty crazy weekend, didn’t get to clean until today!

Katie got a doll house, a little art case, a webkinz purse, some books, necklaces and bracelet, all of which are in the car in her cubby and I’m too lazy to dig out to take a picture of.

Breanna bought her self some books, a pair Ugg looking boots, a cd player (in the car), a hanging monkey (in the car), and a few other things that are also in the car, I guess I need to have them get their stuff out of the car…

Mackenzie got an Outburst game, some books, a cute fish tank light for in her room, I’m sure you’ve seen them, the fish look like they are swimming. I can’t find the books, and they are in the process of playing the game so no pictures of those.

The Mr. had a huge score, he collects anything Chevy, he collects cars, has to cabinets loaded with his Chevy paraphernalia, he also likes the tractor trailer trucks, he had quite a score this weekend with these babies, he never usually gets much at yard sales so as you can imagine he’s pretty stoked, now he needs a mans room and get this stuff into hiding… Men! He also got a Ripley's believe it or not book for 50 cents.

He got a portable vibrating chair, 6 Advent Bottles brand new (sterilizing right now), baby monitors, a crib wedge, each of the girls chipped in and bought him 2 pairs of overalls, some shirts, a sweater and a Halloween outfit, all of the clothes are Baby Gap.

Oh, for all of us to work on and make her nice and pretty, we got this, its mostly just for decoration, we’ll be painting her and sprucing her up, check out this wooden doll house found at goodwill for $4.99, I saw it while I was bringing stuff into the donation center, I said how cute! The guy said its yours for $4.99 so naturally SOLD. She’s huge! Stands about 2 1/2 feet tall.

So FINALLY a great yard sale weekend. We had a great time, I hate that yard sailing is just about over but hey we still got the thrift stores.

The Mr.'s computer monitor died on him, so we got a nice 17” one for him from Craigslist for $25.00, also got a new laptop cord for $10.00 from craigslist, best buy wanted $150.00 for the cord we needed! He doesn’t need a fancy monitor, says he isn’t me and does need a 22”, I LOVE my 22” monitor so :P

Oh, and seems I haven’t been able to share with you… We were grabbing the girls’ some school stuff from TJ Maxx, I got these lovely ladies for $3 - $5.00 each! I paid more for the stuff to go in them then I did the jars, well except the glass bottle with the stump, I got that at a yard sale for $1.00 we filled that with sand from the beach and shells I had leftover from the dollar store, same thing with my Beauuuutiful jar from Tj Maxx.

1 Month Check up.
9lbs 4oz. Gained a little under 2lbs. 21” long. Grew 2 inches!

You want to be held 24/7. You will scream bloody murder if we put you down.

Your on a perfect schedule, you eat every 3-4 hours.

You sleep most of the time, when your not sleeping your eating, getting your diaper changed, or getting bathed/dressed.

Your sisters are crazy about you and can’t stop talking to you, holding you, or taking pictures of you.

Your daddy and I are crazy about you and can’t believe your finally here!

Your having some belly issues, making you get sick quite a bit, but we’re in the process of trying to get it taken care of.

A Thriftful Weekend

I was beginning to give up on yard sales. Either it was raining or they were just ones with people selling cups, not that cups aren’t a good thing but I need something more to grab me other then just cups! We did find a few things this weekend though…

First yard sale I got these jars, the tall one is getting some sand, sea shells and some wood and going in the bathroom. Not sure what I am doing with the second one. Any ideas?
These were $1.00 each

The MR. Thought this little wooden cup with these little yard tools in it was cute so we got that for him for 50 cents.

Then we stopped by another one, this guy is great, he buys butt loads of stuff at the xmas tree shop, we’ve been here tons of times usually I find my Kohl's purses here for like 50 cents but no purses this year, I got these two pictures one for the Mr. and one for Katie’s room both for… $3.oo!!!

They both still had the tags on them the popcorn one original price was $16.99 and the pogo stick one was $14.99. The popcorn ones frame was originally silver but I had the Mr. spray paint it black. In my opinion it looks SO much better now! I love black spray paint.

At the next sale Katie saw some stuff she wanted, she got a Video Now with 10 movies and a carrying case for $2.00 (she wont let me grab a pic of it, she thinks I want to take a picture for eBay. LOL) and she picked out these two shirts and shoes, shoes of course had the tags on them from Target.

Breanna picked out two shirts at the same sale, and these cute clogs, I think they will look super cute with some jeans and a casual shirt but for now they will sit and wait, she wont be wearing these with shorts LOL. These were also new with tags but she was prancing around the house in them. The shirts are at her dads house so I couldn’t snap pics of those.
The shoes were $1.00 each pair and the shirts were $25 cents each.

At wally world these were on clearance for $2, I was hoping to copy Kara here but I grabbed the wrong kind of container. I may still try it, we shall see! I’m in the process of getting the Mr. to work on my laundry room, I hate my cabinets over my washer they are too short, and there is only two, then I have a counter top with cupboards underneath that we should just be able to paint black, and the walls green, oooh getting excited thinking of it! By the way how could I do a monogramming without having my printer print it like her beauty did?

Now for some redo’s. I didn’t take any before pictures, the guy was moving way too fast with the spray paint (He got a little bored yesterday)

Cameron’s wall letters, we got them at Michaels they were plain white. They match his bedding PERFECTLY.

I love this picture but hated the wooden colored frame, he painted it black to have it match the other pictures in my kitchen.

We finished Katie’s lamps, well kinda, now I just need to add something to the lampshades so they aren’t so boring! I also have little ladybugs that will be glued to the green like they are crawling on the lamp.

Ok so I'm finally sitting down to blog, I never ever was a good blogger, I do try but life always grabs a hold of me and keeps me busy.

My little guy will be two weeks old already tomorrow! Its crazy! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I had another baby, let alone it being two weeks ago! I feel like a new parent all over again, my other two ages 9&6 basically do everything for themselves, I'm not used to doing for someone 24/7. Of course I love it! Just trying to get used to it, and the middle of the night feedings, dirty diapers, crying baby, well, all of it.

Here's some super cute pics I was able to get of him, he's not liking the flash on my camera.

I love them all of course but I LOVE the feet one, doesn’t it look like a heart? I had to take a picture of his feet like 12 times before I got a good shot. Mr. Wiggle Worms. I have to take some newer ones they are going in the frames I bought for his bedroom.

My girls’ are loving being older sisters, my oldest has always been such a good big sister to Katie, but Katie is doing awesome with him, although sometimes they are a little too clingy and right up my butt, always wanting to hold him, feed him, change him, etc, they are a huge help with him!

Nothing really new to report, just trying to get used to the change of things around here. Just had to do my momma bragging :O)

He’s Finally Here!

He arrived on July 15th at 1:30 in the afternoon weighing 7lbs, 7oz and 19 inches long! We didn’t leave hospital until Saturday and its just been non stop since. I will post more later but for now the girls are wanting supper!

Nesting?

So apparently I’m nesting… LOL I find this pretty funny, I don't remember ever “Nesting” with the two girls’, but my mom insists I am nesting this time around.

How you ask?

I clean non stop, my house is already pretty clean, we are freaks like that, well now its worse. I’ve made the Mr. rip up a perfectly good rug and put down pretty wood floors for my lil mans room, I made him tear half our bedroom apart just so we could move our room around and start redecorating. For some reason the idiot that lived here before us put a tub in the master bedroom… umm why? It didn’t even look nice, we took the tub out and all that jazz and just covered it with some plywood and made it like a “step up” well, now its gone. Of course I don't have a before picture, but ugh my room is SOOO much bigger now! Bare and big, that WILL be changed *Ü* I am loving this.

I made him change around all the girls’ bedrooms, and would have had him change the bathroom around if only we could move toilet (I’m kidding here!) I’m redoing Katie’s bedroom, my bedroom, still working on the little mans room, and I’m trying to convince him that we need to fix up the laundry room. I can’t just do one thing at a time, I want it all done… NOW! Like I said previously it would be nice to just go blow all the money at once and do it. I could spend thousands and thousands in home goods, we went there this weekend and I was in heaven, ahhh.

So… I’m nesting my mom says. Ever hear of this?

Not only am I “nesting” I’m also being told I am hormonal, I cry all the time, or one minute I am up the next I am down, I guess I’m mean to him and then ask him what his problem is, I’ve actually caught myself being pretty mean but for some reason all I can do is laugh about it, hopefully he doesn’t hold it against me – after all what's the worlds greatest saying? “I’m Pregnant” I have grown rather fond of saying that :O)

Being that this is my third c-section the Dr's. picked the day for me to go in and have my lil mean as July 15. I’m hoping I go before then, I can’t wait til he’s here, I just wanna squeeze him! So far they have estimated him at 6lbs 12ounces, that was a week ago. I have weekly ultrasounds due to high blood pressure but they only weigh him every two weeks, so next week they’ll check again, I know its just an estimate but should they be right he’s already got his sisters beat! Katie was delivered at 39 weeks and weighed 6lbs 1 ounce and Breanna was 5½ weeks early and weighed 5lbs 5½ ounces *sigh* I love babies.

So his bedding is finally on, we still have to hang some pictures and finish his wall, and maybe paint, but, its getting there (so maybe I’m not ready for him to be here before the 15th) Grr.. I suppose it really isn’t that big of a deal seems he will be sleeping in my room in the beginning.

I hate how plain his room is, its only temporary though.

Pictures, paint, etc are coming and you’ll see the end results. I get giddy thinking about it. Just having the time to do it is a nightmare with the Mr. working 24 hours a day.

Finally Found Something

We’ve not had the best weather lately, its basically rained all but four days in three weeks. So yard sales haven’t been happening. Finally we had a ok Saturday, but we were running late with the yard sales because the Mr. was out all night Friday night towing cars, but we managed to get some scores in the last week between yard sales and goodwill (i love that place!) When we hit up goodwill we hit up all 5 of them in our area (one is even 1/2 hour away)

We’ve been in need for lamps, so I was super excited to find all these for $1.99 each! The two square white ones are being painted green for Kaitlyn’s room to match her ladybug bedding, the white round one will stay white and has a pink shade on it for Mackenzie’s room, the round black one is for the Mr., we just put a shade we had at home on it and its now on his desk, the adorable fuzzy one, that's mine! I LOVEEEE IT! I squealed when I saw it, we actually left without buying it but I made him turn around so I could get it, he at first said it looked like a cat attacked it, but its growing on him, I decided to leave it as is because I just LOVEEEE it and it has a new home on my night stand.

Do you know how hard it is to find lampshades!?! Yikes! I found some super cute ones from IKEA (we don't even have an IKEA so I freaked when I found those… but I had to return them as they wont fit on Katie’s lamps.

Katie’s DVD player crapped the bed the same day we found this one for $4.99, and it works perfectly! Not a huge save, but its one that sells at Wal-Mart for $29.00

Got Breanna some gap jeans and Katie some Gymboree jeans, which don't fit so off to eBay they go.

The Mr. Loves Carhartt sweaters, they are usually $60.00 or more each but we found him a brand new one for $4.99 and I got a Liz Lange Maternity top for $1.99 brand new with the tags from Target.

We are in the process of making our bedroom actually look like a bedroom, as well as redoing Katie’s and working on my little Mr’s room ugh how I wish I could just go splurge crazy at the stores and get it done, but I can’t… I found 2 cute throw pillows two for $3.00 they fit in nicely with my tan and brown ones I already have, my blanket is making me die lately so we’ve gone to just a bare white one for now. We got the two pictures and hung them over the bed just for now, I am in LOVE with this mirror from Home Goods that will be replacing those pictures once I splurge and get the mirror (a week or so) I paid $5.00 for both pictures, they are growing on me but do not fit in with the “Always kiss me goodnight” soooo they’re going!

One is a frame and says “Sweet Baby” and over it “The moment we saw you we fell in love” the other one is a photo album that pops out and you can change the picture at anytime, that one also says Sweet Baby on the bottom of it. He has LOADS of photo albums so I better get busy once I have him, I’m sure that wont be a problem, I love taking pictures of my kiddo’s!

I didn’t get any pics, but we also got Breanna an alarm clock, for some reason she thinks she needs one so we got her one at GW it was only $1.99 and works fine, we got some book lights for them for when they are in the van, and a few other misc things.

Mac & Cheese ~ Yummers!

I love homemade mac & cheese, I can’t find my step moms recipe (which is delish superb by the way, but this one is becoming one of our favorites here!

There are some seriously yummy recipes linked over there! I’m a recipe chaser so I’m all for it!

Ingredients

2 (8 ounce) packages macaroni
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cups cream
1 teaspoons salt
fresh ground black pepper, to taste
4 cups good quality shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup buttered breadcrumbs

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F.
Cook and drain macaroni according to package directions; set aside.
In a large saucepan melt butter.
Add flour mixed with salt and pepper, using a whisk to stir until well blended.
Pour milk and cream in gradually; stirring constantly.
Bring to boiling point and boil 2 minutes (stirring constantly).
Reduce heat and cook (stirring constantly) 10 minutes.
Add shredded cheddar little by little and simmer an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese melts.
Turn off flame.
Add macaroni to the saucepan and toss to coat with the cheese sauce.
Transfer macaroni to a buttered baking dish.
Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
Bake 20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
SERVES 8.

We’re Exhausted…

I don’t even know where to begin. We are so exhausted. In the midst of getting things ready for the little guy we are also trying to fix up other rooms in the house (Mine, redoing Kaitlyn’s) we had Mackenzie’s birthday this Saturday so trying to make the house look half way decent before anyone got here was a huge task, I’ve been making him rip up rugs, laying down wood floors, tearing out this, putting in that… My moms says I’m “nesting” maybe I am :O)

35 weeks on Wednesday and I can’t wait until its over! I am so exhausted! I pick out my little guys birthday on Thursday (3rd c-section) very anxious about that! They have me going in for weekly visits (which I’ve been doing for 3 months now, 4 times a week) I go one day to meet with doc and the next day for weekly ultrasounds. My blood pressure has been up for a while now so they want to make sure I don't get as sick as I did with the girls’. This week they did find a teeny bit of protein in my urine, but it was just a teeny bit so they aren’t overly worried – yet!

Ok, so yard sales and thrifty stuff – Not happening. The weather around here on the weekends lately, well SUCKS it’s raining every weekend it seems, this weekend it was sunny enough just for Mackenzie’s birthday party.

How ever I did find this two weeks ago, haven’t decided what to do with it yet, its sitting in out entry way being a shoe box til I figure it out lol.

Thrifting… not so much

We went out to yard sales for a good chunk of the day yesterday, we started late though (around 11:30) so all the good ones had been hit and had nothing good left. I found a cute dresser/toy chest/night stand that would be ADORABLE for Katie but they needed work, I couldn’t bring myself to spend $200.00 on them, sometimes I wonder about some of the people throwing the yard sales, you can’t get rich off em. *sighs*

BUT! I did find this adorable Fisher-Price Baby Gymtastics Deluxe Jumperoo brand new never used for only $10.00!! Naturally I had to grab it, even if my little man can’t use it yet, or for a while, it was a good deal. I found it on BabysRus for $80.00 so not a huge save but $70.00 saved there.

That's all I found, after that we came home and organized, the baby's room is going where our computers were and we are putting a wall up to make it two separate rooms, we haven’t done the wall yet, that should only take a few hours, but we got at least the furniture on his side and will work on the wall next weekend, I didn’t realize how huge his crib was until we put it in that room. Once the wall goes up and its decorated and all cute we will have a good idea of where things are going, but we started late on this project (last minute people here) and Charlie’s work schedule sucks sooo its a work in progress, a very slow progress.

Here’s a picture but remember, we just moved the desks, the room is very empty right now because we are still figuring out what we are doing, no pics are hung or any of that jazz yet, and we still need to paint…. yeah we’re slow.

In a Drout!

It’s been raining for two days! It’s so depressing. As if I’m not tired enough, the rain just makes it worse. Lucky for me he was sweet enough to let me take a two hour nap today while he painted Kenzie’s new tv stand – which I’ll show you the pics by the end of the post.

Had an ultrasound today, they are scheduling them weekly now because my blood pressure is back up, ugh… can’t I have a baby without having high blood pressure and the nasties that come with it? eieiei. My lil wiggle worm was stubborn today and facing my back, so no pictures, but he’s roughly 4lbs and looking very healthy, active, and all that good stuff, everything looks good. I go back next Thursday for another ultrasound. I have too many appointments to keep up with anymore, next week I have one on the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th. Nuts huh?

Today over at Sandra’s its slow cooking Thursday. Charlie’s got some nasty bug and is miserable, I’m cold and can not for the life of me warm up, so I decided to let the Crockpot do the work for me today. Here’s what we are having thanks to Allrecipes.com

SLOW COOKER PEPPER STEAK:

WHAT YOU NEED:

2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 2 inch strips
garlic powder to taste
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cube beef bouillon
1/4 cup hot water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 large green bell peppers, roughly chopped
1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS:
1. Sprinkle strips of sirloin with garlic powder to taste. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil and brown the seasoned beef strips. Transfer to a slow cooker.
2. Mix bouillon cube with hot water until dissolved, then mix in cornstarch until dissolved. Pour into the slow cooker with meat. Stir in onion, green peppers, stewed tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, and salt.
3. Cover, and cook on High for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low for 6 to 8 hours.
  
  Very tender and flavorful, It's great to make ahead of time in the slow cooker and then serve over rice, egg noodles, or chow mien.

Welp, I've got a hot shower to get into before bed, so I'm gonna end it here. Here’s a before and after pic of the tv stand that is FINALLY finished. We still haven’t decided for the lil man’s rocking chair so any suggestions would be awesome!

Thrifty Finds

Woop! Yard Sale season is back! BUT… Saturday we took the kids to Story Land (BEST DAY EVER!!) If you haven’t been oh I highly suggest you go! It was awesome!

We had so much fun! Charlie, Bre, Katie & I all went. But, our weekend got cut short, the girls’ dad came back from vacation and decided he wanted them from Saturday night until Monday night, so I had to agree (sigh) and Kenzie’s mom wanted her home for the weekend as well. This whole sharing thing sucks! But, we didn’t let it ruin our day at Story Land and had a blast! Surprisingly not much money was spent either! We easily spend more money on a boring weekend then we did to drive to New Hampshire, go to Story Land, eat lunch their (killer prices on food!), and drive back home.

So, the girls not being here Charlie worked this weekend, sometimes I take it in and relax while its just me here (he works 24 hours, well is on call for 24 hours, very busy weekend though!) but I decided I wanted to hang out with him in the tow truck… Entire day spent walking around story land, being 8 months pregnant, NOT a good idea to ride in bouncy tow truck! LOL. We’re good though! ANYWAYS… Sunday it rained off and on all day, couldn’t find any yard sales that weren’t shutting down. Monday was the day!

No yard sales, but we did hit up Good Will, I love that place! I usually get butt loads of Gymboree for the girls’ or just resell it on eBay and make like four times the amount I paid – Awesome stuff!

We’ve been on the look out for a new TV Stand and desk for Kenzie, we found a desk but it needed ALOT of work, and they wanted $30.00 for it. No way. So we passed it up. Next Good Will we found a tv stand, for $14.99 with major potential, perfect! Pics on this one gotta wait as its still in the process of being painted.

For Breanna we’ve been wanting to move her room around, but she needs a new nightstand, so we’ve been on a hunt for that. Found this keeper for $4.99 at the same Good Will, again her room is pink, and is butterfly themed, so we sanded it, added butterflies and flowers, and some pink paint and waalaah!

We had the paint on hand from her other furniture so no money spent there. We bought some fabric for $1.34, Breanna picked these butterfly things she wanted in it, we spent about $2.50 on those. Here it is. (my camera is acting up, don’t mind my crooked pic.)

SHE LOVES IT!

Next, I need your help…
My lil guy here (in the womb) his room is in the process of being “built”, but I found this today and HAD to grab it! Same good will, for $4.99, I HAD to get it!

My dilemma: His furniture is all a mapley color, the crib, changing table, dresser, etc. Well… this is already painted black so I can’t stain it, I don't know what color to do it though! I don't want to do blue, but I'm not sure I want black either, and I just can’t imagine it white for a boy. So was thinking, maybe brown paint? NEED suggestions so feel free to suggest! Ione of the arms lifts and one of the wooden pieces in the seat lifts, but added some wood glue and its good, so now its just waiting on a paint color. Help?

Katie didn’t get new furniture, she’s almost always the one who does, and well, we are in the process of changing her theme in her room so that needs to wait, but, she got but loads of flip flops and we grabbed some sidewalk chalk, and she just so happened to get some stuff I won on eBay on Saturday in the mail, so she was thrilled with that.

Hope you liked my finds, and PLEASE gimme some idea’s for that cute lil rocking chair! I’m stumped! This whole boy thing is sooooo new to me! I’m used to pinks, purples and white!

Finally looking better

Things are finally looking better. I went to my follow up for my ct-scan yesterday, found out that they think the spots on my lungs are just a lung infection (huge relief!) however they still want me to see the pulmonary specialist just because I'm preganant so as they worded it they want the "pros" looking at me :) I just want it to be over, scary enough ya know? I did ask her a ton of questions while I was there...

So, it isn't like lung cancer right? Her answer - "Oh god no! Your only 25 and even because you have smoked it looks nothing like cancer." WHEW!

Exactly what are these spots on my lungs then? "It looks like I've been down south breathing in the air she said, she said a lot of people down south have this stuff in their lungs and don't even realize it. I've not been down south

So your pretty sure its nothing that's going to kill me, or make me extremely ill? I'm sure, but again would like you to see the pulmonary specialist, just to make sure I am right about the infection, that way if we need to treat it they know exactly what to do.

Good stuff... So they did a tuberculosis test on me just to be sure, so far no bump! (duh, I was recently tested) I have to go in on Thursday anyway for a blood pressure check (because that's been acting up - joy!) so they will check my tb shot, blood pressure and draw some blood.

So, not getting hopes up, but think I am FINALLY going to be able to get some rest and worry a bit less!

They switched my meds too, since getting pregnant with my little man I've had serious migraines, not sure why, not related to blood pressure, just these migraines I have off and on throughout the day. They had me on one script which didn't work at all, and now changed it and it seems to be working! They have caffeine in them so they get my little guy kicking and moving like crazy, but they say they are perfectly safe for him *Ü*

Hmm, what else, I gained 2.5lbs in the last two weeks, which is good they say, a pound or a little over week, so far I've gained 17lbs with this little guy (not too shabby) I'm not a worrier when it comes to gaining while preggers, I have faith I'll get the extra pounds off.

I made these the other night and they were well loved by these guys, they are from kraftfoods.com I had to double this, and used boneless chops instead of bone in.

What You Need!

4 bone-in center-cut pork chops (1 lb.) - I used boneless!

1/2 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

2 Tbsp. orange marmalade

1 tsp. ground ginger

1 tsp. garlic powder

Make It!

PREHEAT oven to 400ºF. Place chops in 8-inch square baking dish.

COMBINE sauce, marmalade, ginger and garlic powder; spoon evenly over chops.

BAKE 45 min. or until chops are cooked through (20 – 25 for boneless)

Beginning to miss ME

30 weeks, 4 days, and counting. I know its all worth it, and I can't wait until my little man is here, but I miss feeling like myself! I'm so tired lately it isn't even funny! Daily migraines, constantly tired, no appetite unless its for ice cream which even today I couldn't even stomach. This little guy is kicking my butt! I just keep reminding myself, it IS worth it in the end. Luckily I get to go a week or two early due to third c-section, cause I dont know how much longer I can feel like this grumpy, emotional roller coaster.

On top of that, the last two weeks I've had two x-rays, 1 cat scan, and Dr's telling me "We don't know yet" I have "Nodules" on my lungs and no one knows what they are. I have to go see a specialist on Monday and hopefully she can finally answer this question. I'm stressing myself out and nervous as ever, I keep hoping ok the next x-ray is going to come back clear and all will be well... Nope, ct scan showed that they are multiplying and fast. - Joy. Not to worry, they doubled up on lead blankets and aprons to make sure my little guy is good, but, as they said we have to make sure mom is good too, and well, mom needs her lungs so we have to find out whats wrong with them. Baby is good and for now so am I, soo they aren't to worried about getting him out of here yet.

Everything else is ok, kids are being kids, fighting and arguing more then the usual but maybe thats just me being more irritable then usual. I'm so tired lately, I go to bed at 11 and am up at least 3 - 4 times a night and then wide awake thanks to my little guy by 5am. He isn't even here yet and I am losing sleep, at least if he was I wouldn't be so bored when I'm up at 5 in the morning! lol.

Lost all my reads!

So dummy me decided to rename the blog. Lost all my freaking reads! Grrrrrrrr!! I had alot of reads and only have half of them bookmarked. Instead of creating a new blog i just changed where I wanted this one publishing, then had to go back and make another blog with the same url as my old one. Grrr! Just when I get my mojo back to want to blog. Welp, off to try to find atleast some of my reads.

Not So Happy Mother’s Day.

So my Mother’s day was interesting to say in the least. I didn’t get the girls’ back from their dad until 3pm. Nice of him isn’t it? Usually I get them back at 5 on Sundays, I asked if I could have them early being it was Mother’s day and well that's all he could offer me. Jerk.

But, we made the best of it. I grabbed them, we went and looked around at Sears (we meet at the mall), then we went down to my moms house, which I wont even get into because that was a nightmare itself. My mom has 5 daughters and 1 son. None of us can get along... Not even on mothers day :( I got pressies from my older sister (also my bestie!)

After my moms we came home, Charlie and Breanna worked on supper together, while Katie and I made some Blueberry Muffins. :O)

Breanna’s was very cute! A little card with duckies in a tub on it, open it up and there was bath soak, and in the writing it says:
Here's a gift for mothers day, I'll try my best in every way, but if you get upset with me, relax and soak don't you agree?

So all in all Mother’s day wasn’t too bad. I still feel like crap for what happened at my moms, but I didn’t go there planning to fight, I waited until 4pm to go thinking the other sisters would have been and gone by then. Maybe I need to learn to let things go, my moms famous line is “One day, when I’m gone, you’ll need each other.” I’m sure she’s right, but until we figure that out on our own, we clearly are NEVER going to get along.

Well I’ve finally decided to put this thing to use. Although I haven’t really done a whole heck of a lot with it since setting up. I’ll get to everything – That's my motto for everything!

I’ve decided after taking a long break, I want some space back on the internet. After deciding to close down all my websites (graphic design) I lost interest in the computer and basically any websites on it. I miss it so much now and am slowly getting back into the swing of it all.

On top of that, I decided I wanted a journal for my little sesame. I’m now 15 weeks along, and want a record of it all like I had with my other two pea pods.

Now… I need to find me some friends!

Mac & Cheese ~ Yummers!

Ingredients

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Cook and drain macaroni according to package directions; set aside.

In a large saucepan melt butter.

Add flour mixed with salt and pepper, using a whisk to stir until well blended.

Pour milk and cream in gradually; stirring constantly.

Bring to boiling point and boil 2 minutes (stirring constantly).

Reduce heat and cook (stirring constantly) 10 minutes.

Add shredded cheddar little by little and simmer an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese melts.

Turn off flame.

Add macaroni to the saucepan and toss to coat with the cheese sauce.

Transfer macaroni to a buttered baking dish.

Bake 20 minutes until the top is golden brown. SERVES 8.
